Changes of coastal vegetation in Portugal 2026 - 2024

Using images from remote sensors, the identification and classification of coastal vegetation in Portugal is carried out for nine years, from 2016 to 2024. This information allows us to show changes in the increase or decrease of vegetation in the intertidal zones of the country, to identify possible factors, that promote these alterations in the range of area occupied by this vegetation.

Biography

Geographer specialized in public policies with a focus on Human Rights and Culture, Peace and PhD in Marine Biotechnology and Aquiculture. Experience in Python programming, remote sensing, satellite image processing and ArcGIS. An analytical approach that undertakes its biogeographic research, involving analysis and data processing. Knowledge and experience in climate change, data modeling associated with species distribution, climate alterations and the development of programs.
